NATURE INSTITUTE FOR WELFARE OF SOCIETY (NIWAS) is a Non-Governmental, Techno-Social development organization that is working towards the reduction of adverse effect of Climate Change/Global Warming. NIWAS is registered in the Dharashiv (Osmanabad) district in the year 2010. 

We partner with grassroots-level CBO’s and rural communities through technical guidance & back-up support for effective management of natural resources, Sustainable Agriculture, Poverty Reduction, Rural Health, Women’s & Child development through the Watershed regime. Our primary objectives are, to implement Community-based Natural resources management programs specially focused on Watershed management, Climate resilient agriculture practices, women’s empowerment through the Self Help initiative, programs focused on womens and child development, and issue-based farmers club and enhancement of organic farming through farmer groups.

Mission

NIWAS by its techno-social development approach works to alleviate the adverse effect of Climate Change by promoting and working with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and various village institutions. Special focus is on enabling the marginalized and weaker sections of rural society to participate in the process of rural development by building their capacities and improving their skills and knowledge.
